Pootles design team week 1

Pootles design team week 1
Birthday pop up card.

Hello everyone I'm back with a pop up card that was inspired by crafty Caroline.

Base of card.

First you need a price of crumb cake card measuring 4 1\2" x 11"
Score @ 1",   2 3\4",  3 3\4",  5 1\2",  7 1\4",  8 1\4",  10".

Leaving you card on the scoreboard. Mark your card at 5 1\2" .
1\2" down from the edge of card cut down your score line to the 4" mark using a craft knife or cutting tool.

Fold and burnish your card, carefully burnish you score line where you cut.
Put some tear tape on the 2 short edges of your card.

Body of card

Layer 1-
Pink pirouette card measuring 3"X5"

Layer 2-
Falling in love dsp
2 3\4" x 4 7\8"
Glue to layer 1 leaving a boarder around the 2 long side and top.

Stamping layer-
Very vanilla
2 1\2" x 4 3\4"
Once you have stamped your design you then stick stamping layer onto your falling in love dsp so you have a boarder on the 2 long sides and top (same as the dsp layer).

Put layered body

through the cut you made in the base of the card.
Remove 1 of you backings of your tear tape and fold it into a square and stick it to the body of the card. Do the same with the other end of your card stock so your body is sandwiched between the base.

You will also need-

4 pieces of very vanilla card 1 5\8"" x 4 2\8"
2 pieces of very vanilla card 7\8" x 4 2\8"

Add your design onto the very vanilla pieces you cut ready.

These go onto the out side of the base.
There will be a video to follow so you can see how it is made I will put a link here so you can see how its made.

Hope you enjoy making this as much as I enjoyed it x
See you all next time
Happy stamping

Love Holga

Bookcase builder

Hello everyone it's me again.

Sorry not been round for a week as I've been having problems with my videos and uploading them.

I've come today to show you a stamp set that's very understated and sometimes over looked. I myself have overlooked this set before but I saw a pootler using this set and decided to get it myself.
Here are the dimensions for this card.

Card base - 8" x 6"
   Score @ 4"

Blue or pink layer - 3 15/16" x 5 15/16"

Very vanilla layer - 3 1/4" x 5 3/4"

I do hope you think about this set as it is definitely a overlooked set.

About me

Hello everyone and welcome!
As this is my first blog I thought I'd better tell you all about myself
My name is Holga Hoy and yes before anyone ask I am English born and breed my father like the name so he said let's do it. As you can imagine all though school I had all the nick names and even 'hoggy hoggy hoggy hoy hoy hoy' (got that in so everyone can have a bit of a giggle)

I have no children but I do have 2 gorgeous neices who are 7 going on 18 (and she tells me off) and 8 months old (who changed the settings on my phone while eating it and now I don't know what she has done to change it back) and 2 handsome nephews who are 6 (who is going to be the next karate kid) and 2 (who loves his dog Coco and likes to be naked)
My other halfs name is Paul and he sometimes thinks he is a widow as I am always in my craft room.

I love to create something from books, paper or anything really, if it's not nailed down then I will use it and modify it somehow.
So one night while I was scrolling through alot of stuff on you tube as you do, I came across stampin up. It looked difficult to do I thought but, as I got through more and more videos I thought why not have a go. So off I went to find someone to get me the equipment.
The more I got into it the more I loved creating cards, a gift boxs or invites for family events. That's when I though why not become a demonstrator myself. So here I am.

Now that's over with I can get on with creating projects for you guys to try at home in your spare time.
I will see you all soon.
